World's First Dragon Ball Theme Park Images Turn "Fiction Into Reality"

The world's first Dragon Ball theme park confirms official development with new images and a trailer, showcasing visitors on an epic adventure.

The world's first and only Dragon Ball theme park is officially in development, with the first images revealing how "visitors will be able to join an adventure with Goku and pals."

The official Dragon Ball website announced that the Saudi Arabia Qiddiya Investment Company will be constructing the world's first and only Dragon Ball project as part of its 'Qiddiya' giga project. "The Dragon Ball theme park will boast a whopping size of over 500,000 square meters and feature seven different areas that recreate various iconic locales from the original series, such as Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus's Planet," the site states. The site continues, "At the park, visitors will be able to join an adventure with Goku and pals as they enjoy the world of Dragon Ball, from the very beginning of the anime all the way up through Dragon Ball Super! This theme park will feature five state-of-the-art rides as part of a lineup of 30+ attractions! And if that wasn't already exciting enough, construction of a 70-meter-high Shenron is also planned, with this landmark containing a large-scale roller coaster inside! In addition, there will also be fully stocked hotels and restaurants available at the park to enable fans to immerse themselves in the world of Dragon Ball for an entire day of fun."

Dragon Ball's Theme Park Will Be One of the World's Biggest

At over 500,000 square meters, the Dragon Ball theme park will be among the largest in the world. Meanwhile, its location in Saudi Arabia is proof of Dragon Ball's global popularity and an example of producer Akio Iyoku's plans when he said that Dragon Ball must continue to challenge the status quo as an IP. The franchise joins the long-running Chibi Maruko-chan and Ghibli Park as rare anime IP to receive a dedicated theme park.

Fans can relive the Dragon Ball franchise on Crunchyroll, which has ramped up its anime offerings alongside rival Toonami.
